About the event
About our guest coach:
Darren served as a police officer for 30 years before retiring in 2021. His time was predominantly spent as an operational police dog handler and instructor. Darren has years of experience in general purpose police dog training, incliding Narcotics, Firearms, Cash and Explosices for specialist search dogs. Still very passionate about dogs and their olfactory skills, Darren now offers scent detection workshops for non-operational teams, sharing his knowledge from the "real" search world.
His fun, realistic, scenario -based workhops are very popukar as they offer an extra dimension to the teams - planning of their search, communicating with the rest of the team and on-the -spot decision making because not everything always goes to plan in a search operation!
