Fun Gundog Skills Workshop - Recall & Retrieving For Pet Gundogs & Aspiring Working Dogs ⏱ 1 Hour Session | 🐶 4 Months+ 👥 Maximum 4 Dogs - small groups for maximum learning experience 💷 £25 per dog Whether you simply want a well-trained pet gundog or you’re hoping to work your dog in the field, this workshop is designed to build solid foundations in a fun and supportive environment. We’ll focus on developing: 🎯 Marked Retrieves – Building focus and confidence on visible retrieves. 🧠 Memory Retrieves – Strengthening steadiness and your dog’s ability to remember and complete retrieves successfully. 🔁 Motivated Recall – Creating speed, enthusiasm, and reliability when it matters. 🛠 Troubleshooting – Practical help with common challenges such as dropping, running in, distraction, or lack of drive. All exercises are tailored to each dog’s individual skill level, experience, and natural strengths. Whether your dog is just starting out at 4 months or already has some experience, you’ll receive guidance suited to your goals. A positive, encouraging session focused on building confident, responsive, happy gundogs — both at home and in the field. Is this workshop for me? - This 1hour workshop is suitable for beginners - No previous gundog training knowledge is required, however, it is beneficial if your dog has an understanding of basic obedience. - This workshop will be held outdoors. Hopefully the weather will be kind, but please dress appropriately. - This workshop is suitable for dogs from 4 months of age. - As we will be working in a group , all dogs attending must be happy to be around other dogs & people. PLEASE NOTE BITCHES IN SEASON AND ANY DOGS THAT ARE UNWELL ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP. Please bring: Your dog (that always helps)! Flat collar/harness & lead. No flexi leads please!
