Two dogs. Two handlers. 26.2 minutes. How will you use yours? Part of our Sniff Beyond Limits – Hannah’s 26.2 fundraising series, this is scent detection with a difference! Dog and handler teams will be paired up to take on four search areas. Your mission? Find as many hides as possible within a total search time of 26.2 minutes — one minute for every mile Hannah will take on at the London Marathon. But this challenge isn’t just about having a great nose. Strategy and teamwork matter. You and your teammate will decide: 🐾 Who searches which areas 🐾 How you divide your 26.2 minutes 🐾 Which dog’s strengths are best suited to each search 🐾 When to keep searching — and when to move on While one dog and handler searches, their human teammate becomes their spotter, helping to observe the search and support the team. The searches Search areas: 4 Total search time: 26.2 minutes Number of hides: Unknown 👀 Target odour: Kong You won’t know how many hides are waiting for you, so you’ll need to decide when you’ve searched enough. Correct finds add to your score, while incorrect calls will be deducted from your overall total. Do you spend longer in an area where your dog is flying? Move on and give your teammate a chance? Trust that you’ve cleared an area — or risk another minute looking for one more hide? The clock is yours. Use it wisely. 🏆 The winners The pair finding the highest number of hides will be crowned our 26.2 Team Challenge Champions. We’ll also award our special: 🤝 SYNERGY AWARD For the pair demonstrating outstanding teamwork, communication, support and strategy throughout the challenge. This isn’t about having the fastest dog or the most experienced handler. It’s about knowing your dog, understanding your teammate, playing to your collective strengths and working together. Most importantly, we’re doing it for a fantastic cause. All proceeds from the event will support Hannah’s London Marathon fundraising for VICTA, helping blind and partially sighted children and young people build confidence, independence and belief in what’s possible.
