Puppy & Young Dog Social Skills and Play Workshop For Puppies and Young Dogs up to 24 months Is your dog super friendly… but just a little too much for other dogs? 💥 Do they struggle to recognise when another dog has had enough? 💥 Does “play” quickly tip over into chaos? 💥 Do they get overexcited and forget their manners? You’re not alone — and this is exactly what we’ll be working on. This small, structured group workshop is designed specifically for puppies and young dogs who need help developing appropriate social skills in a safe, supportive environment. 📍 Penthwell Farm, Filkins, GL7 West Oxfordshire ⏰ 2:00–3:30pm Your dog will learn to: ✅ Engage in appropriate, balanced social play ✅ Improve canine communication skills ✅ Recognise and respect boundaries from other dogs ✅ Build calm focus around distractions We’ll also cover: How to read your dog’s body language accurately What healthy play looks like (and what it doesn’t) When to step in and interrupt When to allow dogs to problem-solve appropriately This is not a free-for-all play session. All interactions are carefully managed and thoughtfully paired to ensure positive learning experiences for every dog involved. Suitable For: ✔ Puppies and young dogs (up to 24 months) ✔ Friendly but over-enthusiastic greeters ✔ Shy individuals who need to build confidence around other dogs ✔ Dogs who struggle with play boundaries ✔ Owners who want to better understand canine body language ✔ Dogs who can work around others without aggression Not suitable for dogs displaying aggressive or highly reactive behaviour (please contact me to discuss alternative support options). This workshop is held at Penthwell Farm, a rural venue – please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.
